le Tour de Terra Cotta Monday August 2nd 2010

le Tour de Terra Cotta

In 2005 the Brampton Cycling Club founded the Tour de Terra Cotta recognizing the incredible opportunity to have a challenging closed course race in beautiful and scenic Terra Cotta bordering on the Niagra Escarpment, the Bruce Trail, the Forks of the Credit and the Hills of Headwaters.

In 2008 the race became a community event hosted by long term organizer Ted Webb and the Terra Cotta residents with continued support by the Brampton Cycling Club.  2008 was the biggest year to date.  With 175 participants it had the feel of a stage from le Tour de France for both spectators and riders.

In 2009, a shorter 3 Lap 27km race has been introduced.  Designed to attract cyclist who are doing a bike race for the first time and who may be intimidated by the longer distance.  This race is also perfect for: Triathletes, Cyclists who do not have a road specific bike (mountain bikes and time trial bikes are permitted), or for those who prefer a shorter distance.

Also new in 2009 was the 5th Annual le Tour de Terra Cotta Commemorative Technical race t-shirt! While quantities last.

2010 is going to be an even bigger success.
DON"T miss it!
